Grids…
So, I started searching google today, looking for some new ways to code layouts for my site and I stumbled upon this. Now, I’ve been trying to figure this concept out for the past 5 hours and I haven’t even brushed the surface!
It seems like this grid system thing is the best kept secret with some of the best pages on the net. Wikipedia, for one, uses a 2D grid system for their layout. Almost every WordPress theme that you download is using a 2, 3, and sometimes 4 column grid system to lock everything in place.
All I can say is get ready, cause I’m looking into it and you better believe that the new site will be behind a grid.
